    "If you need physical therapy Synergy is the place to go! The office staff and physical therapists are kind, friendly, extremely helpful and very professional. I had severe back pain when I first started physical therapy at Synergy. Synergy came up with a treatment plan of exercises and stretches that would help strengthen all the muscles that affect the lower back and pelvic alignment. I could see and feel the benefits of these as my muscles got stronger. They also tried cupping which produced immediate results for me. It really helped relax my lower back muscles that had been so tight. Now that my therapy is complete, I have the tools to keep my back pain free. I highly recommend Synergy and can’t thank them enough for helping me."

    "I’ve been going here for a work injury and they have been so great and welcoming. When you walk in it’s happy faces and they do good with remembering you. And things are very clean and put together. I’m happy I’m here. I would recommend them for sure to anyone!"

    "I have been to three physical therapy facilities over the years, and this one by far is the best! The staff is genuinely caring and very knowledgeable, and the therapists go above and beyond! I actually finished my therapy almost 3 months ago, and then took a bad fall on an escalator, so my neurologist has sent me back so that I can get back on track once again! I highly recommend if you are looking for a wonderful experience then give them a try at synergy and I don’t think you will regret it!"

    "I had previously come to physical therapy for my shoulder pain, and the pain decreased substantially. So when my service connected back injuries started, I requested to return, because the work they provided was beneficial. Today, with the exercises they advised me to do when pain returns, has helped so much. The ache is there because of my age (osteoarthritis), but the sharp and stabbing pain has substantially been reduced. I love the personal care and concern I received at each visit. I will come back if possible should any issue require physical therapy. "

    "I have lived with TMJ and neck pain for more than 10 years. It wasn't until I had a recent flare up that lasted for months and affected my life and daily activities, that I started researching what could be done to find relief instead of just accepting the pain.     "I have had three surgeries in the past two years. At one point doctors were telling me they did not know what was wrong and that my ankle pain may never go away and I may never run again. I am a runner, it's a passion of mine, and I am so happy to say that Lindsay, Tim, and Maggie have given me back that joy and while I still have a ways to go I would not be where I am without their help. Maggie helped me with so much of my journey, building back all the strength I lost from my surgeries. Lindsay helped me with my hip and re-building that strength. Tim came in at the end to fine tune everything, finding areas of my foot (like my toes) and ankle, to help me stop compensating and get back my running rhythm.     "I came to Synergy with what I considered to be significant back pain. Lindsay developed a great plan for me; she and Tim shepherded me through it deliberately and carefully. Using bands and weights, they helped me rebuild the strength in my lower back and legs, such that my pain subsided and I became more agile and flexible. I'm very grateful for the work they did with me and the good it has meant for me. "

    " I was previously seen by Lindsay Gockenbach for frozen shoulder syndrome. I was sent this time by my neurologist because of migraines and associated neck pain. What did my condition affect? Everything. I experienced nausea, dizziness, and pain with all activities. Lindsay worked with me on neck exercises and releases. We did vestibular exercises to deal with dizziness and nausea. True to form from my previous therapy, Lindsay continued to contemplate my issues and introduced muscle release, for TMJ associated problems, and thoracic spine exercise and release. Today I have had zero dizziness in almost 2 weeks. My neck isn't inhibited any longer. Physical therapy in conjunction with a migraine prescription has me able to live life to the fullest again! "

    "I suffered a torn rotator cuff, and torn ligaments and tendons in my left shoulder, as result of a bad fall. When I first came to Synergy the mobility in my arm, I would say, was minimal at best. Just a few weeks later my shoulder, and the range of motion has improved by at least 80%. (In my personal opinion) My Orthopedic P.A. is very pleased, as am I. Thanks to everyone at Synergy, but most especially Lindsay and Ina. They get me! P.S. Will continue to come here, if needed!"

    "I came in with a very weak right leg. After working with David and Tim, I have much better motion and flexibility in that leg. I can now pick it up so that I do not fall over rugs and such. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking to gain mobility in any of their joints."

    "My body was unfamiliar to me after I had twins. Here, I was a mom of 3 ages or 2 and under and my body felt stretched beyond its limits, especially for being an athlete my whole life! It was a humbling experience to seek help. I am so glad that I did! Kira is so knowledgeable and kind. She helped my rehabilitate and bridge the gap for my weaker links since having my babies. There is still more to improve on, but after the program I fell like I have the right tools and resources to get stronger everyday. I am thankful to have found Synergy! "

    "Before therapy, I was not able to turn in bed or lay on my right side. I was not able to look up or side ways quick. The positional dizziness I experienced made all my other medical problems feel much worse and added more stress. Lindsay was able to successfully fix my positional dizziness which gave me my life back. I was able to focus more on my other medical issues. I am able to run over in bed, lay flat, and do all my physical exercises. "

    "As soon as I walked in I was greeted by office staff. My initial visit to synergy was for lower back pain for current and lingering pain from a car accident. I worked with Maggie then and she was great. She gave exercises I could do at home and was encouraging and supportive during the entire experience and my lower back felt better. Of recent I was referred to synergy for vestibular issues and silly me had no idea what that was, but I was again greeted when I walked in the door. I was suffering from the following symptoms: feeling like I was spinning, falling often due to loss of balance, ringing in the ears, problem focusing my eyes, nausea, while walking feeling that the floor is slithering up and down like a snake, dizziness and more. This go around I was not looking forward to vestibular therapy I think partly due to lack of knowledge. But let me tell you it has changed my life.I worked with Lindsay and she was great! She was professional, went above and beyond and I am catching myself before I would have previously fallen. She would send me home with exercises so I was able to practice them. I constantly had questions for Lindsay and she was thorough, skilled and knowledgeable in answering them. If you find yourself needing vestibular therapy I would recommend Synergy."

    "Although I still have strange foot pain, the areas supporting my foot have gained strength and stability. I have had weak ankles, knees, and hip muscles since I was 16. Thanks to Ina, Tim, and Lindsay I know easy, yet challenging, workouts to keep building those weak muscles. I highly recommend Lindsay, Ina, and Tim. They are very intelligent and always try to put themselves in your shoes to help navigate the appointment. I would recommend this multiple yearly winning clinic to anyone wanting down to earth, supportive, and respectable therapists!"

    "Before coming here, I was having so many issues with my balance/ dizziness, shoulder pain, and neck pain. Lindsay has been so very helpful in teaching me the tools to continue at home to keep improving my issues. I feel so much more confident with my balance now that she gave me the exercises to do when my neck or shoulders feel tense in the future. This place was my lucky charm!     " I have had issues stemming from mild TBI caused by an attack in 2005 while in Iraq. The issues developed/ worsened over time causing dizziness, inability to focus, blurred/double vision and neck mobility issues. I initially started treatment with concern about daily activities and the need for some relief in my neck. With that, Lindsay and Ina were able to surface the source of the issues. They imported this knowledge, awareness, and provided sequences of exercise and actions that effectively reduced much needed relief.     "Prior to attending Synergy PT, I was experiencing neck stiffness/ neck pain, pain in my shoulders, back, hip, and my elbow. My range of motion was very limited and my abilities to sleep was non-existent. That was my life and overall physical state for 3 months. But now, I have my life back!!     "My friend told me about Synergy and how her symptoms were gone after her visits, since then my expectations were high for them. I had to see it with my own eyes and how he did so well! I was unable to leave the house without my walker, I had vertigo, no balance, and I couldn't move my head around. 90% of my balance is back and I can now cross the street with minimal help from a walker! I can travel, shop, and drive again."

    "My neck was hurting really bad before I came to PT. It often got stuck then cracked and hurt when it came loose. The two therapists that I saw, helped me almost completely subside. I learned new exercises and stretches that I will continue to do on my own. It hurt to read or drive, now I can read for hours without my neck getting stuck in place!"

Do 10-15 minutes of strong exercises everyday. Have kids? Active duty? Mom? Wife? You are important and these small things you implement everyday will help you to be at your optimal peak!     "I knew immediately after my accident I wanted Kira Boyd as my physical therapist. Three days after seeing my surgeon, I called and told her I did not know when I was coming but I'm coming. I knew she would understand the complications of my surgery that was delayed by 9 weeks and understand how to handle the rehab. After working for her for five years, I knew I could totally trust her. She treated me professionally but also personally understood my frustrations. We made progress slowly but surely. She pushed me when appropriate, but slowed me down if I pushed too hard. The surgeon was pleasantly surprised with my progress. I definitely would send anyone to Synergy and especially to Kira Boyd. "

    "Before attending Synergy, I struggled with normal activities like opening jars or carrying groceries. The pain in my shoulder was, at times, unbearable. I had Physical therapy at places, and I was disgruntled about going, but I did not want surgery. When I first attended Synergy, I instantly loved this place! Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable, and I did not dread my appointments, like I previous PT places. I did not do the same routine every visit, like other places, I had a nice variety that were geared towards my daily routines. Upon graduating, I have no pain, more knowledge, and NO surgery!!"

    "As a Senior Citizen & Disabled Veteran with multiple Military Service Connected Injuries, I was able to get Therapeutic Care by the Professional Therapist’s, who assisted in treating me over a 15 week schedule, including two sessions per week… with that said, I needed the VA to refer me again back to Synergy PT of Jacksonville NC… Having been assigned a new Primary Care Physician, I needed assistance in getting my records from Synergy PT… The normal procedure’s are to ‘Go Online’ and request forms for the ‘To & From’ Recipients… Well with my ‘lighting-like’ calculated mind I realized I needed to use a computer/laptop to accomplish this… I’m lucky I can answer my ‘Smart Phone’…🤦🏻 So with that said, I called Synergy directly, and left a message for the Operations Manager to call me back at their convenience… I received a call back from Alexis A.     "Prior to Physical Therapy, I was unable to workout and perform certain exercises I enjoyed doing. I had almost no flexibility and my back pain level was through the roof.     "Wanted to share my experience with Synergy Physical Therapy. I have been to many other Physical therapy businesses and by far this one is the best, very professional which I love. The approach that they have is so differrnt and welcoming I was literally impressed. First, I was hesitant to try Physical therapy again because of past experiencees but eventually decided to give it a shot, thanks to the front desk team. The customer service is absolutely amazing from the time they call you to set up your appointment, to when you come in to fill out paperwork to the time you exit the building. They do not OVERBROOK appointments with clients everywhere, your time is spent with your physical therapist, no rush to get you through your appointment. No waiting for space, a certain area, a machine or anything needed to work through your session since I've been coming. Second, I work with Maggie and I feel like my concerns are always being addressed. I am not just thrown on an exercise bike with a timer and forgotten about then wait for them to come get me. When she is working with me it's just me only until her next client comes in towards the end of my session, which is great. Maggis tries different things to see what will work, how it can help, and change it up if she has to before we can actually get a routine going. What I like is that Maggie is knowledgeable in her field, she is spot on about where my pain is and she listens, these days people don't listen and I appreciate it. Lastly, this place really cares about you, your goals you put into place, they all work together as a team and everyone is so gracious. Definitely give Synergy Physical Therapy a try if you need to get back on track and get your life back, the process is smooth sailing. I promise you won't regret your decision."

I put my all into what they needed me to do (at the facility and at home) and it made a complete difference. Yes it's hard work and you'll be sore at the end of the day (not hurting), but it's worth it!! After 20 visits, I now have full mobility in my lower back and hip with no pain and I even unexpectedly drop two sizes which was definitely a plus for me!! I initially started going late January for having a lesion in my knee which caused me to take a step back from my typical daily activities and it was not fun. The presence of positive vibes and friendly faces was such a pleasure to have on top of their hardworking staff. This was my first experience with physical therapy and they absolutely rocked it! My physical therapist, Justin, was very knowledgeable and he ensured to provide me the best guidance to get me back on track with my physical goals.     "I take the small group fitness classes here and absolutely LOVE it! Sam is an amazing and attentive trainer and makes the classes so fun. I don't even realize that I've worked out until class is over and I'm soaked with sweat. You can tell that this is her passion and it's infectious. She also offers stretching exercises and nutritional support, so I feel like I'm making healthy choices outside of class and contributing to my own health and well-being. I also love that each exercise we do is tailored to each person. Even if you're "broken", you can still attend these classes, because all of the exercises are modified to your injury. I've not yet encountered a place that does this. I can't wait to see what else Synergy has to offer!"

  • I would highly recommend Synergy to anyone for physical therapy.

    My experience at Synergy has helped my headaches with unbelievable success. My wife was going to Synergy and recommended that I might benefit from treatments. I was getting shots in my neck with little success in eliminating my headaches. After my first visit with Kira Boyd, I saw a difference in the frequency and intensity of my headaches. By the time of my last visit, I was not experiencing headaches. The exercises and the hands-on treatments resulted in fewer headaches. Mrs. Boyd is very knowledgeable and developed a treatment plan that was effective. Her staff is very friendly and always made me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend Synergy to anyone for physical therapy.

    I walked into Synergy limping on crutches. I could not play sports, bend my knee, kneel, squat, basically had no movement through my knee.The whole Synergy group was encouraging and supportive where they stretched me and helped me through exercises.     I can now use my right arm.

    I was able to avoid surgery.

    My experience at Synergy was wonderful! I initially started working with my therapist in an effort to avoid surgery, and made some progress in freeing up my shoulder joint. However, I did require surgery, and I was really afraid that the post-op therapy would be very painful. My fears were groundless, as my therapist was very sensitive to my pain and worked hard to relax and loosen the muscles affected.     Before my experience at Synergy I had trouble doing what I loved most and sometimes even the bare minimum on my day-to-day tasks. After my injury I was sure I wouldn’t be able to lift again or even be comfortable at a gym facility. I also suffered from abdominal pain that had me going crazy because I had no clue what it was from. Kira helped me understand the female body and most importantly, mine and how to treat it. She helped me try different things to see what my body’s reaction would be. Without her I don’t think I would’ve figured it out myself.     I have been coming to Synergy for a total of 6 months (both pre-surgery & post-surgery) for frozen left shoulder. Post-surgery I was in such pain that I couldn’t move my left arm at all without experiencing severe pain. I now can do my hair again, which is such a relief!     Before I came to Synergy I had major issues with my jaw. I could not eat a lot of hard, crunchy foods without pain. My jaw would just hurt randomly. Since coming to Synergy, Liz has really helped me. I only have issues with it when I have a migraine. I can eat normally and only have issues with large foods like subs. I can also eat crunchy or hard foods with no problem and it doesn’t hurt later! They did wonders for me, I would return no problem if needed because Synergy has my back. Love you guys.
